John Swallow elected to the Board of Trustees of Agnes Scott College

Provost John Swallow has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Agnes Scott College for a four-year term beginning July 1. He was elected at a meeting of the trustees May 10. Swallow, C’89, was named provost of the University of the South in April 2012 after serving as acting provost. He has previously served on Sewanee’s Board of Trustees and Board of Regents, and was the Kimbrough Professor of Mathematics and Humanities at Davidson College before returning to Sewanee.

Agnes Scott is a national liberal arts college for women located in the metropolitan Atlanta area. It was founded in 1889.
