Aaron Rutz, C’12 Watson Fellow, shares his experiences
- on 3 Sep 2013
- Gailor Auditorium
Aaron Rutz, C'12, has spent the past year traveling the world on a Watson Fellowship, and will be back at Sewanee to talk about his experiences.
The Watson Fellowship is study abroad, total immersion style. For philosophy and theatre major Rutz, this took him from parish organist and bell ringer in Scotland to pony rider in Lesotho, from prophet seeker in Zimbabwe to gospel choir singer in Denmark, with many other strange titles besides. Although theatre companies were his primary touchstone, Rutz will share the whole experience of learning hands-on in the independent, figure-it-all-out-yourself style of the Watson.
All are welcome to attend.
