Stanley Hauerwas lecture: “How to Write a Theological Sentence”

Dr. Stanley Hauerwas will deliver two lectures in the Chapel of the Apostles as part of the summer Advanced Degrees Program. All are invited to attend either or both of the lectures.

The June 19 lecture is titled "How to Write a Theological Sentence," and the June 20 lecture is titled "How to Preach a Theological Sermon." More details are available here

Hauerwas is an American theologian, ethicist and public intellectual. He currently teaches at Duke University, serving as the Gilbert T. Rowe Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke Divinity School with a joint appointment at the Duke University School of Law. He was named "America’s Best Theologian" by Time magazine in 2001. His book, A Community of Character: Toward a Constructive Christian Social Ethic, was selected as one of the 100 most important books on religion of the 20th century.
