Panel discussion on sustainability initiatives in Sewanee

The Friends of the Library will sponsor a panel discussion on sustainability initiatives in Sewanee at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Torian Room of duPont Library. Marvin Pate, director of sustainability integration, will discuss how the university is promoting sustainability on campus. Michael Thompson will talk about The School of Theology and St. Mary’s Retreat Center joint programs, including their gardens and recent grants. Rich Berlin, director of Sewanee Dining, will discuss the different ways products from the University Farm and other local growers are used to provide meals in McClurg Dining Hall.

All are welcome to attend the discussion and a light reception following the talk.
