Former Merrill Lynch president on “Leadership: 10 Traits to Keep”

From Merrill Lynch president and chief operating officer to successful entrepreneur in the restaurant industry as owner and CEO of the Altamarea Group—come hear how Ahmass Fakahany made that transition, as he shares his thoughts on leadership. The public is invited.

Ahmass Fakahany is the owner and CEO of successful international restaurant company the Altamarea Group. The Altamarea Group has restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, and Hong Kong. They have been praised by Michelin, the New York Times, Zagat, and the James Beard Foundation.

Prior to beginning his life as an entrepreneur in 2008, Fakahany spent 20 years at Merrill Lynch and worked at Exxon prior to that. As president and chief operating officer at Merrill Lynch, he managed 63,000 employees in more than 40 countries after spending his career building Merrill Lynch operations outside the U.S., in Europe, the Pacific Rim, Latin America, and parts of the Middle East.

He is a graduate of Boston University School of Management and earned an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
