Sewanee crew at the Head of the Hooch

Congratulations to the Sewanee crew team, who competed last weekend in the Head of the Hooch. The Chattanooga race is the second-largest regatta in the country, with more than 8,000 rowers racing in more than 2,000 boats.

The Sewanee Men's College & Club Novice 4 team placed fifth out of 30 teams, ahead of teams from the University of Alabama, University of Georgia, and University of Texas. The team was made up of Karl Afrikian, Parker Stoker, Travis Tindell, and Chrishna Srey, with coxswain Taylor Skalka.

Coach Donnie Jones reports that the performance by the entire crew team was outstanding.
